Besides his involvement in the origination and execution of new investments, Wijnand plays an active role in the portfolio management of HPE Growth’s investments.
Prior to joining HPE Growth in March 2022, Wijnand worked at Rabo Frontier Ventures, an early stage VC fund and Fund of Funds investing globally in Fintech, FoodTech and AgTech companies, as well as in leading VC funds, where he successfully completed international investments and exits across Europe, North-America and Asia.
Wijnand is also a lecturer at the Nederlandse Vereniging van Participatiemaatschappijen (NVP) where he teaches part of the curriculum of their NVP Essentials VC course for junior VC professionals in the Netherlands.
Wijnand holds a MSc. degree in Econometrics, with a specialization in Quantitative Marketing and Business Analytics, from the Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam.
